Bridgestar offers several growing online and off-line communities in an effort to foster the exchange of ideas, best practices, and networking in the nonprofit sector. These groups range from role based groups including operations and finance, to general networking, to groups designed for those who have transitioned from a for-profit to a nonprofit career. This group is designed for those members of the National CFO Group that meet in person in New York. You must be a member of the National CFO Group to join and be willing to meet in person in New York. Operations/COO
Chief operating officers (COOs) have complex and varied roles across the nonprofit sector, and it can sometimes be difficult for them to find professional peers. To help COOs connect with each other, Bridgestar has created several ways for COOs across the country to connect. National Nonprofit COO Group
This group is designed for those serving in the Chief Operating Officer or Second in Command role within a nonprofit organization.
Subgroup: Boston Nonprofit COO Group
The Boston Nonprofit COO Group is an in-person, peer networking group for senior leaders in COO, deputy director, and similar roles in the nonprofit sector. The group meets monthly at the Bridgespan Group's Boston office. At these discussions, group members discuss topics of interest to COOs in nonprofit organizations, share best practices, and network. The group is open to Boston-based COOs of local, national, and international nonprofit organizations and is accepting new members. This group supplements its in person meetings through a subgroup on LinkedIn. You must be a member of the national COO LinkedIn networking group and be willing to meet in person in Boston to join this local group.
Subgroup: D.C. Nonprofit COO Group
This group, like the Boston COO Group, meets monthly in person in addition to this online group. You must be a member of the national group to join the D.C. group and you must be able to attend most meetings.

This group, like the Boston COO Group, meets monthly in person in addition to this online group. You must be a member of the national COO group to join the D.C. group and you must be able to attend most meetings.
